Hellenic Cables awarded high voltage land cables interconnection project in Cyprus

Cables segment: Hellenic Cables awarded high voltage land cables interconnection project in Cyprus

 

Cenergy Holdings announces that Electricity Authority of Cyprus has awarded Hellenic Cables a turnkey contract of approx. EUR 10 mil. to supply and install high voltage land cables for the upgrade of several transmission lines of the Cyprus grid

 

The four subprojects composing the assigned project, include, inter alia, the interconnection of existing lines to the grid, the undergrounding of overhead lines and the rerouting of cables in Moni, Vasilikos, Paphos and other sites in Cyprus. The contract covers the design, the manufacture of approx. 70 Km of 132 kV cables, the cable-laying operation and the connection of the lines with the Cyprus grid. This project will strengthen the Cyprus grid, thus contributing to the improvement of both the reliability and the capacity of the network.

 

The cables will be manufactured at Hellenic Cables’ plant located at Thiva, Greece, which based on its extensive experience, its state-of-the-art facilities and equipment and its skilled personnel, ensures high-quality, technologically advanced and competitive cabling solutions.
